Personally, I'd stick with what works for me. If you have good luck with VW, stay with VW.

They have a good warranty from the factory. If you get a used one though the warranty time is halfed. having said that l would only recomend a brand new one. they are kinda a disposable car, and dont expect a good resale value either.

Do not do it, they're cheap for a reason! And do not let the extended warranty fool you..what good is a car if it is always in the shop? Regardless of who is paying to fix it, you still need a dependable car to get around in. Better to get something more reliable like a Honda for just a little bit more. l put 250,000 miles on my first Honda before selling it, and l am now on my second and l love them both.

They did not used to be, but they're improving. However, since you love Volkswagon, and are used to it, you need a good reason before switching brands.

Hyundais are not extremely reliable, but are better than Kia's. If you did not mind the reliability issues with VW then Hyundai should not be that much different. You should really consider a Honda or a Toyota in my opinion ;-)
A friend of mine had an 02 Tiburon and she had to have about $8000 worth of work on it in the 3 years she had it including a new transmission. She later totaled it in an accident! Such a shame!

NOOOOOOOOO, THEY LOSE THEIR VALUE FAST AND ALOT OF AUTO DEALERS WON'T TAKE THEM UNLESS YOU TAKE A PRICE THAT THEY OFFER AND THAT IS NEXT TO NOTHING, l WAS GOING TO BUY A HYUNDA l ABOUT A YEAR AGO.AND l WAS TOD BY MY DAD.HE IS A AUTO DEALER HIMSELF..ANYWAYS HE SAID ''YOU DON'T WON'T THAT CAR.YOU CAN'T GET NOTHING OUT OF THEM''.HOPE THAT l ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION.LOL..LISA

get a Honda. it is the best quality for a fairly decent price. way better than Hyundai and has won more awards. l have a 97 Civic that still runs well and l know someone that totaled there is but came out only scratched and bruised. Volkswagen is are great cars too, i'm sure you've seen those Jetta commercials about how safe they are. so you may want to stick with that. good luck!

Want the BEST warranty? Want the cars that exceed Toyota and Honda in reliability and initial quality? Want a great price? Look at the latest offerings from GM. The warranty is fully transferrable, comes with free roadside assistance and courtesy transportation, and the resale will be much higher at trade time.

l rented a sonata a few months ago for a 10 hour trip, and my tailbone started hurting after only 2 hours. The seats are just about the least comfortable l have ever sat on...That should not happen with today is technology.

Do not bother with the naysayers, save yourself a ton of money and buy a Hyundai. They have a better warranty than ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING FROM JAPAN, GERMANY, and the USA.
They provide great service and they make much better cars than they used to.
They offer roadside assistance.FREE for 5 years, a great warranty, and they do not cost NEAR AS MUCH as domestic vehicles. My 02 Hyundai Elantra has 100K miles on it and runs great every day of the week.

As my opinion from working with Universal Studio is Fast & The Furious movies & a rapper heading to Aftermath Ent. the Hyundai is r worth nothing, they r ok car if u want to learn how to drive but as a car - car they just ai not good. Here r my suggestions of a Japanese car:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Mitsubishi Lancer Nissan 350Z Honda S2000 Mazda RX8 Nissan Sentra Lexus GS Lexus IS Scion tC
American Cars:
Ford Mustang Dodge Charger Pontiac GTO Chrysler 300C Ford Focus Chevrolet Corvette Chevrolet Cobalt
European Cars:
BMW M3 BMW M5 Mercedes-Benz CLS Mercedes-Benz CLK Mercedes-Benz CL Volkswagen Jetta Volkswagen Passat
Those r all l can name at the top of my head right know.

Hyundais r excellent cars. My parents had one that had 180,000 miles on it. It was a 2000 Elantra. It had the origonal clutch & only the second set of brakes on it. The only thing that ever broke was the rear wiper motor. Other than the rear wiper motor, the oil, the brakes, tires & the timing belt nothing was ever replaced. And all of these r wearable parts that would have to be replaced on ANY car. They would still have it but they wrecked it on some bad roads. Definately look into buying a hyundai. By the way they have a 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty & an extendable bumper to bumper warranty.

Hyundais used to suck, so everyone thinks they still suck even though they do not deserve it nowadays. Hyundai is build quality today is on-par with the best (even better than Toyota & Honda, according to JD Power surveys). However the cars from 3 years ago still break down more often than average, so it is hard to say if the newfound quality will translate to reliability. On the other hand, the average is higher now than a few years ago, with all cars improving, so at some point it becomes a difference between ''excellent, '' & ''very very good.''
Given their latest quality ratings, warranty, crash test results & price advantage, I'd say check them out before u decide. You might get more peace-of-mind with a Honda, but you'd give up a lot of features for it.
