anything over 15 mph, some vehicles you have to be mashing the brake pedal to activate.

I've heard around about 30 or so, but seems high. But can happen if your sitting still too. Dpends on how fast your going, or other vehicle is crashing into you, to hit the sensors that the factory has put in certain areas of the cars. Hope that made sense.

Depends on force. if ur going 5 mph & l run straight into u at 75 mph, they will probably go off. A sensor in either the front, rear, or sides has to be triggered as well as a sensor under ur center console that measure g-forces. Depending on what sensor was hit & how much force was used determines which air bag deploys. In some new cars, there also has to be a certain weight in the seat that the airbag protects. (normaly only a few pounds)

l notice this is in the Hyundai forum, so l will go on & say Hyundai airbags r somewhat faulty, & l say that with all my love for Hyundai. Sometimes one will go off & not the other, sometimes the wrong one, I've even heard of people hitting curbs & getting to bite the bag.
