l got my hyundai tucson brand new in 2005! l have been having a few issues lately. 1st thing is the keyless entry..its been screwing up the past year or so. Like sometimes they keyless entry will work and sometimes it wont..and then l will be on the road and all of a sudden it sounds like my doors are trying to lock or unlock, when l havent pressed anything. l have taken it in to get fixed and the 1st time they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it..the 2nd time they said the replaced the ground wire?..it worked for about 2 days and then it went back to its usuall ways of some days working fine and then next days it will not work. NEXT.. my battery has DIED 2wice..and l havent left anything ON..i've had to get it jump started. l dunno what could be causing it but the wireless door locks trying to lock or unlock overnight...any ideas? anyone else have these issues? each time l take it to the dealership they say they cant find anything wrong with it/replaced ground wire.

It is probably a bad computer or something high tech that controls it. l would have them replace the actuators in ALL of the doors once they fix it, Hyundai is power window regulators and door lock actuators suck, so they just made it worse.

Hi, we have had the exact same problem & after bringing it into the dealership 2 or 3 times we finally found the answer. The radio that Hyundai put into the 2005 Tuscon is draining the batteries & causing issues with the door locks. They issued a service advisory to the dealers smart enough to look for it - but have not issued a recall. If u car is still under warranty it will be covered by the dealership. It is is not then CALL Hyundai at (800)633-5151 & go to the warranty section to get to a customer service rep. l would stay on that phone until they cover it - going to a supervisor if need be.
Right now l am on the phone with them - (on hold) - & she is going to see what they can do.

Hello :
Im sure u have a trouble with the * Security system * & that probelm not have any relation with lock or unlock of doors. because both of lock & unlock have a realtion with Remote control only.and u can reprograming key by hands only.
for more information the * Security system : it mean the Imobilizer ,with hyundai is called ( smartra ). the Key include the chip transponder. they send the signal to Barrale while u switch on . & Barrale of switch immeditly make a connection with the (smartra ). that is make a new signale .and they send to ECM : Enigne control module.. & the signale inculding the pin code . it try to open the ECM . then the car is start.so that u have a probelm with the Immobilzer pin codes. for repair u must use the tool of reprogramming is called ( AD100 ). & during the reprogramming u need the Security code .you must go to the delar they provide u with codes.. after he check the VIN code of Hyuindai .
NOT: if all r not done.. u must do the following steps:
1- Disconect the Battry.
2- remove the Engine control Module ECM
3- Restting the ECM by using the hand
4- open the cover of ECM
5- look at the diagram ..you find the smalle chip .that have 8 pins only
6- that chip inculding the program is called ( EEPROM ): Electronical erasable programable .
8- purchs the new one. & try to clone by Key copy tool with the new software of eeprom.
9- put the new chip to ecm
10- test the car.
11- Im sure 100% not any trouble remain in the car
REGARDS
