Just recently l realized that 3 of my power windows are not working.The one that is working is the driver is side window, which is the one that has the auto-down feature.It goes all the way down by pushing & releasing the button.The others you have to hold the button down.l called the Hyundai srvc dept to ask if a bad fuse could be at least one possibility.l know it is likely electrical, but l was hoping l at least had a cheaper alternative. Thru whoever answerd the phone in the svc. dept who went to a mechanic and back to me, l was told that yes, a bad fuse is a possibility. l checked the fuse box, and saw nothing marked for pws, or at least not anything l recognized as for pws.I am thinking l was misinformed, or is there a marking on the fuse box diagram l might not realize is one for pws?There were a few l was not sure what they were.Anyone know?Freaking out here... l can not afford to have a pricey elec. prob. fixed.Helllppp!

So I am an idiot!It was the child lock. l never use the child lock... never thought to check it.Instead l thought the worst.(could not find a place to put this so l just chose add more details). One wo not go down, but l think it is just frozen.Thanks again!

You said ''The others you have to hold the button down''. The only window that will have the express down is the driver is window. Your power windows are fine.

First check the window lock switch.consult your owner is manual,it will tell you fuse placement..if the fuses are good,it is possible that the master switch has gone bad,or maybe a bad connection.the driver is door is the one used most often being subject to more vibration, sometimes causing the connector on the back of the switch to loosen.

l sounds more than likey a fuse problem. If u can not find the correct fuse do a search on google for the make & model of ur car to see if a diagram of the fuse box is available. If u can not find a diagram l would pull each fuse out individually & look at them in the light to see which one is blown. The other more serious issue that could be wrong is that the power window motor could have blown. That happened to me once, l just went to a junkyard & picked up a used one. Hope that helps.

It is more of a child-safety features. Unlike the driver window, other windows you will need to hold the button down because if there are auto-down or auto-up by pressing it once, a child might get his neck or fingers squashed by accident. Similarly if the window goes all the way down when a child accidentally pressed on it, your PDA, handphone or sunglasses may also 'accidentally' go out the window.
