Hyundai has a new car coming out in 2008 that is supposed to be in the same league as the GS series Lexus and the G or M series Infiniti. A V-8, 6 speed auto, rear wheel drive luxury sports sedan.

l know they had problems early on, but I am wondering if those of you with NEWER Hyundai is would share your experience?

I am considering buying a Hyundai and l REALLY like this new concept sports sedan, the Hyundai Concept Genesis. It is supposed to for around $30,000 . .

If you own a NEWER Hyundai (any model newer than say 2002 or 2003), my question for you is:

Would you buy another Hyundai?
Why? Is it the price?, the value for the money? the quality?Any problems NOT resolved by the dealer?

If you WOULDN'T buy another Hyundai:

l have a 2006 Hyundai Azera Limited with the Ultimate Package, l paid $25300 prior to tax/tags. l absolutely love my car & would definitely buy another Hyundai. The salemen at the dealership were very friendly & did not waste my time. l have not had any problems with the car at all & it is a true bargin, a car with these features & quality should cost $35K.sticker was $31K though.
The Genesis looks gorgeous & l can not believe anyone would buy & S430 or 750i over this car once it arrives in 2008. The Genesis with V8 & all the amazing options will likely sticker around $43K.almost $30K below its German competitors. That is also about $10K less then the Acura RL, Infiniti M45 & Lexus GS430 that it will be in line with.

The new Hyundais are the most under-rated cars on the market. l drive an '06 Sonata and my wife has an 07 Santa Fe, both are smooth-driving with good fuel mileage and they have the longest warranty on the market.

im on my second tiburon now, love them, great cars, great sales, very reliable..but the resale value...ouch =(

Last year l worked 6 months in the USA. After several months of renting Accents & Tauruses, the rental company gave me a Hyundai Sonata (as a reward) with all the options (V6, leather, power moon roof, fog lights, thermal seats, etc.) l drove it for almost three months & could not be happier. Smooth ride, good on gas, excellent braking, safe. l was amazed. That made me put Hyundai on my list, & l am looking forward to get an Azera soon this year. Or l could wait to get one of these. l am a suscriptor of Motor Trend & have read an article about the Genesis concept. Would love if they make it real & would really consider getting one. Winding Road Magazine did an article on Concept Genesis as their feature article called ''Hell Freezes Over'' in their latest issue (Issue 21). Though l have not personally owned a Hyundai, my mother owned one back in the early nineties where the tires came off while she was driving. This, of course, was before Hyundai significantly improved the quality of their vehicles & offered the 100,000 mile warranty. My mom has written off Hyundai because of her negative experience, but l am convinced that Hyundai has turned over a new leaf with quality & attractive looking models. Even my mom could not believe when we first saw a new Sonata that it was a Hyundai because it looked so luxurious. l think Hyundai has a bright future ahead of it. According to the Winding Road article, Hyundai was even thinking of making a separate luxury brand but were hesitant because of the cost involved of doing that (needing to pump energy & resources to ''feed'' the brand, i.e., advertising, research & development, & all those things involved in making a successful car company). Given that my mother would never forgive Hyundai, & also of her strong faith in Toyotas & Hondas, l unfortunately would not buy a Hyundai for my next car, though l do think Hyundai has made significant strides in the overall quality of their cars. Right now l drive a 96 Honda Accord with over 150,000 miles. l really like driving it, & if l were to get a new car l just might have to stick with Honda or Toyota just because the quality I've enjoyed. My mom is 91 Toyota Camry lasted 14 years (with a rebuilt engine for the last 4) before it gave up the ghost. In conclusion, I'd say read the article on Winding Road (its a free subscription) & come up with ur own conclusions.
