l know that the original owner gets a 5 year/60,000mile bumper to bumperand 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty but what does the second owner get as far as a transferrable warranty?

usually 30 days or 1000 miles if u get it from dealer but the original 10/100000 is not transferable.

depending on the mileage of the vehicle u r buying u get the remainder of the original warranty. The only thing that does not transfer over is the power train. That goes to a 5year/ 60,000 mile power train. everything else is the same like the 5 year/ 60,000 mile limited basic coverage(bumper to bumper), & a 5 year/ unlimited mile road side assistance. u can also buy the 100,000 power train from Hyundai all just ask ur local Hyundai dealer how. its called the Hyundai Protection Plan or HPP.

when l had a lot of problems with Hyundai to get rid of me the local dealer bared me from entering his show room cause l reported him to head office. head office wont get involved says its a dealership issue.now have crap car and no where to go.unless l take the very expensive court rout lets face it better other brands out there you do not need the hassle buy another brand

Everything will transfer exactly the same except for the powertrain warranty which will drop down to a 5year/60,000 mile warranty.

l just bought a used Hyundai and it was the best decision l have made! The warranty is amazing, and l had a simple question about it, and the customer service from Hyundai was amazing! If the car has less than 60,000 miles on it (which it should for being a 2005), l would buy it!

If the car currently has under 60,000 miles, ur 'bumper to bumper' warranty will be the date that is 5 years from the original purchase date (date the car was titled first) or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty is not transferrable with Hyundai (or Mitsubishi, if interested). Only the original owner gets this warranty.
If u purchase the car, ur powertrain warranty will match the 'bumper to bumper' warranty, exactly (5 years from original purchase or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first).

You get the remainder of the 5year/60k bumper to bumper & the remainder of the roadside assistance.. You do not get the 10/100 unless it is lets say a parent giving u their older Hyundai. You can purchase extended warranties, if u r going to consider that, l would go directly to a Hyundai dealership & get the Hyundai Protection Plan, they do not like selling them because their kick back is not as large, but they do have them because they r a Hyundai dealership (of course that opinion on wether or not the like to sell them varies from dealership to dealership) it will run u appox. 1100-1300 dollars ( Maybe less).. You should be able to purchase that plan on a preowned Hyundai as well as a new one (if not then u can check online for a good extended warranty). That is a nice little car & for the record u can fit three large dog kennels in the back when the seats r folded down. l sold one to a dog breeder, & my sister has the 2005 4door & loves it.
