if your asking what a break period is..
its for the car to get used to driving
and you dont want to drive it hard
jus drive it nice and calm for at least 500 miles

l would drive it nice and easy for the first 3000 miles. You can not go wrong driving the car with a delicate touch. Even after the break in period, you can easily get 20 years out of a car if driven gently.

There is no such thing anymore as a break in period, the high quality of machining of parts eliminated this requirment about 20yrs ago.

The bear facts is correct. l drive my cars fast and hard right off the lot (that includes Hyundai cars). For the ones who is say l am wrong, how many cars have you had new and how many miles do you put on them. My cars do not use oil, run great and have 180,000 miles to 47,000 miles on my cars. Only cars l ever had to use oil is ones l got used and someone else tried to break them in.

l do not think there is non, simply because these cars have actually be driven as a part of testing. Each and everyone of them.

Here is what l do. l have done oil samples & every single car sheds hundreds of PPM of extra metal & minerals on their first 3,000 miles.

Change the oil every 1,000 miles until u reach 3,000 miles. After that, change it normally. Drive the car normally; let gears shift around 2,000-3,000 RPM. Do not drive too slow, but do not drive too fast as well.

After this, ur car will last a long time & u will enjoy the benefits of greater gas milleage in the future.
