l currently own a Santro manual transmission and quite happy with it. l am looking at buying 2nd small car - automatic version Santro Xing AT for greater driving comfort. l am aware of the dis-adv - higher upfront price and higher fuel consumption and willing to bear that.
However, l do not wanna buy a car which is not reliable due to this technology and do not wanna incur breakdowns and excessive servicing maintenance cost. l am interested in seeking inputs from current or ex-owners who have had the car for about 2+ years and get feedback on the car and get an idea on how much is the average maintenance cost.

Its reliable.. average maintantance cost is 0.50 ps per km

l have santro XO & aslo have worked there as a trainee technician.. initially for the first 3 services NO COST AT ALL.. l would suggest .
1st service - 1500km
2nd 9000km
3rd 17000km
as per the manual u will finish the services quiet fast.
for paid service . they will change oil filter, fuel filter, clean air filter, & general check up with oiling n greecing.. u may add brakes check if u feel.. the cost of this should be 2500 at the most.. also while taking delivery u can go in for PU coating, do not do taflon, take the monsoon coating that is benificial. rest all is offers r just fancy. go in for santro blind foldedly.. its the best in its class. l cannot tell u the whole history in this small space.. if u have any more doubts.. mercedez_maybach.co.in

its a no maintainence car. but there is a slight issue in the rear drum brakes. get a cardboard paper fitted between the cylinder & liner..
