i have a 09 limited hyundia sonata the ride is a little ruff when not on a fairly smooth rd what can i do

try different shocks tires or stay on smooth roads

l own a sonata and they are a very smooth riding car have a good shop put it on a lift and check out the undercarriage , there is a call back on the rusting out of certain year sonatas.

Despite the Sonata being a midsize car, the wheel base is shorter than comparable midsize cars which allows for better handling. The shorter the car, the shorter the distance between bumps, the greater the overall effect of the bumps. Not many midsize cars ride smoothly on rough roads. You would look to Cadillac, Lincoln or any other long cars for smoother rides.
Someone mentioned recalls for rust issues - this only applies to the 02-05 models.

If it really bugs you, u can try different tires. Hyundai does not offer any different shocks or struts. You would have to go to a custom shop for that.
