do you know of anyone who has a similar hyundai with more miles, how long do these cars last?
im the orginal owner and nothing major wrong.
only changed axels, battery, thermostat, radiator, tires, belts and brakes..thats it!

l own a 2003 model. l dont have as much mileage as you, but im at 70k.
no problems. l just hate how little power this 2liter engine puts out. And the gas mileage is nothing to write home about.

If you take care of these cars, they will take care of you. They are great quality cars. They are bad mouthed because they are not the same quality as toyota or honda. Atleast it is not an american car!

l have an '02 with over 100k on it. Looks like you have done more then l have needed to. Other then recently replacing the alternator l have had to only do the routine maintenance on mine.
l am a road warrior so the car is not babied. l have been so impressed by Hyundai l recently bought a used '05
l think if you take care of the thing as it seems your doing you should have it for a good while. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owners manual.

l have an 01' Elantra with close to 140k on it and still runs fine. Even more impressive is the fact that l was in a bad accident about a year after l purchased the car. It only had around 19k on it. So for my little Elantra to last 6 yrs and 120k after an accident with a pick up truck going 40 mph means this one tough little car. Hyundai is on my short list for my next car.
