I am looking to buy a new car to get me to work if it snows. The Honda CR2 is my first choice but the Hyundai has a better warranty and is cheaper.Any suggestions?

l own a 2001 Elantra 5-speed sedan & live in Northeast Pennsylvania. From my experience last winter (the first winter with my car) it is not the best car in the snow. l used to own a 1994 Buick LeSabre that was incredible in the snow & my Elantra does not compare. That is really the only fault this car has. if u ask me l like a Hyundai over a Honda. If u do go with the Hyundai & u run into snow just take ur time when driving, u need to be really careful & do not be over confident.

l drive an 03 elantra & live in Michigan. l did not have much problem or complaints to give about it. The only obvious thing u will experience is how it handles compared to other cars. l would say the heavier the car is the better the handling will be & the tires should also make some difference. l drove a mercury 2001 sable & it had much better handling than my elantra. l would say that since mercury sable is a more expensive car & an upper level car than elantra, it has better handling. If you'd take Hyundai XG it would probably feel about the same as mercury sable since they r in the same level.

Well, l believe the most important thing is to drive slow no matter what kind of car u have & u will be fine.

l own a 2006 Elantra and l dont really have any complaints with it in the snow. l used to drive a 1992 Dodge spirit and that was great in the snow this car seems to ok in it. Just it cant clear deep piles of snow too well it got stuck in March during the Blizzard here in Ohio but other then that it ran ok in the snow.

l own a 2008 Sonata GLS & my first experience with it in the snow was last year (February). Here in New Jersey, we do not get much snow, but when we do its bad depending on the area. Anyway, my car performed exceptionally well in the snow heading to & from work that day. You know Hyundai comes standard with ESC, so that def helps too! The entire ride, the ESC light did not display to show me the car needed to use it for control. You cannot beat a Hyundai! l love my car, great price, great ride, great warranty! Bottom-Line - VERY SAFE CAR!!!
