My keyless remote no longer works andevery time l try to open the door with just my key the car alarm goes off (and wo not stop).

no. but you can get a new key. or mabey you just need a new battery in the keyless key FOB...

l know this my seem like a simple question but, have u replaced the batteries in ur remote? If that does not work, then take it to the dealership & see how much a new remote my cost you.it is probably under $100.00 & the dealership may just reset ur ''entry system'' so u can just use ur key to come & go from u Elantra for no-charge or a nominal fee.

And do u have less than 60,000 miles on ur vehicle? If so, ur 5 year/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty will cover the replacement of ur remote.

Pull THE FUSE ON THAT P.O.S

Easy!

Switch the ignition on with dash lights on
Alarm will stop after 30 seconds
After alarm stops wait a further 30 seconds
Start engine

This will override the system and you will not have to use the keyless entry until you replace the remote.

there should be a little slot on the key FOB to open it with a screw driver and go to Auto Zone and buy a new battery for it
