Putting a turbo kit on a Hyundai? Seriously? No. No offense, it is a great looking car, but is not it a bit of a cost waste and with today is gas prices? Maybe prices of turbos are less than what l think.

It is a nice looking car though.

To be honest putting a turbo kit on a Hyundai is not a very good idia for the reason that the engine will not last you very long after the setup is complete. you will be making pretty good power. with a proper setup maybe around 315hp. but be careful you might destroy your car and your money will go down the drain.

upgrades like that r up to you. dont let anyone dictate what u want & like.

Just do the research & find out how many actual hp increase it will give u so ur not expecting twice as much as u will actually get.

here is a list of actual horsepower for other mods (it doesnt go into turbo)

http://importtuner.com/powerpages/0310it_2003_hyundai_tiburon_gt_v6_project/index.html

so mayby some combo of these will help ur performance too.

David Parker brings up a good point. He says you can do it at your option. Common sense says just because you CAN do something , does not mean you should..

tiburons r good cars to boost, l own one & l am planning to do it one day. there r a lot of mods for the tib 2.7 liter delta engine. if u want to turbo or supercharge ur ride l say do it! check out newtiburon.com join there & there is a forced induction section in the forum that u can check out for more info. l would recommend getting the supercharger kit either the sniper set up or the assassin set up because they r easier to install & easier to work with then a turbo kit to a point, less piping & issues.

good luck

poster: the reason ur friends engine blew is not unheard of but was the car tuned correctly or was the turbo slapped on & thats it. u cant just boost a car & call it a day, u need supporting mods to support the added horse power & stress on the engine. if the car is high mileage the engine needs to be freshened up for boost, ngmhouseofpower.com has full race blocks good for 800 hp+. the stock block is good for, if l remember correctly 350 hp at the wheels or so.
