l was thinking of getting one. l have not heard anything bad about them but wanted to get other opinions.

depends on what your looking for. my mom bought one new in 99 and hasnt had a problem, she still uses it as a daily driver. as a sport car its garbage. slow with low hp. my friend bought an 04 new and he said 3 blocks from the dealership you wished he wouldve bought a real sports car.

You can easily call the Tiburon a ''decent'' car. It depends on how much u want to spend & what u r comparing it to & looking for. The '03 & newer Tiburons (GK) r definitely worth the money that u pay for them, especially pre-owned. The handling & performance r competent, though the ride is choppy & abrupt. We have not had any problems with ours, just regular maintenance, & it still looks great. What l like most about Hyundai is how much they improve every year in engineering & quality.

l have a 2003 bough new that l drive hard & fast. Has been a good car, a fun car to drive & if to do over , would buy the car again. By its performance l bough a new Azera & also very pleased with it. Just remember the Tiburon is not a family car.
To anyone what says they r junk would only say this because they do not know anything about the cars or can not afford one or both. Of course everyone on YA who say they r junk can never give a reason so that means a small brain & big mouth.

The 09 is are hot. Especially the V-6.

it is a poser.

the steering is vague, the handling is poor.

it looks sporty but it is not.

reliability is poor and the ride is stiff.

a Ford Mustang or even a Honda Civic handles better.

They r nice looking & a good sporty car. Gas mileage is not all that good for the size & power, which is why they r changing to a new body/engine when they call it the Genesis coupe. Tiburons r fun to drive though & have enough power for normal conditions & quickness. They r pretty reliable & handle good, just do not expect to win many races. You might also consider the Mitsubishi Eclipse & Honda Civic S l coupes if u r only looking at new cars. If u want a Tiburon, l suggest getting a 2-3 year old model & save $8000-10,000 while still getting the same nice car with a warranty still on it. Think about it. http://hyundaiusa.com

They are great, I'd like to say the V6s are better but from what I've read the V6 has no potential while the I4 can be tuned to over 400-500hp.

My initial thought was that they are only decent and nothing special. But then l saw top gear and here is the clip. l think you will be pleased with the information.
